Barbara D. Belton grew up in Queens, New York and now resides in Lakeland, Florida. Her writing influences are mostly attributes of living in Maryland and North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. She also furthered her education, attending Howard University, The Art League, and Institute of Children Literature.
Barbara's first published children's inspirational picture book was "Stop Laughing at Me", featuring Airball and Squiggles. She writes to inspire early readers and to enhance positive life social skills. Her aspiration is to write to make an optimistic difference for children from very young readers to teenagers. Her second book, "Mad Too Fast", focuses on the growing anger among young children. Look for her upcoming book "No More Lies". Her books are an encouraging keepsake for generations of children.
